Hello Aloware users! We're thrilled to roll out our latest updates that are all about enhancing your day-to-day operations. This time, we're focusing on making Call Recording retention settings and CNAM management more efficient and user-friendly! Have a look at these updates:
📞 Enhanced Call Recording Retention Settings
We're thrilled to introduce our latest feature to optimize your call recording experience in Aloware! Developed with your needs in mind, this update offers a streamlined approach to managing your call recordings, ensuring both compliance and convenience.
Key Features:
📋 Company-wide setting: Our new system prioritizes company data retention settings over individual line settings, meaning the company-wide setting takes precedence, ensuring a unified data management strategy across your organization.
⏳ Flexible retention options: Tailor your call recording retention to suit your needs.
Choose from:
- Indefinite (default): Keep recordings without a time limit.
- Follow Line’s setting: Match a specific line’s data retention setting.
- Predefined durations: Opt for 10, 30, or 60-day retention periods.
💼 Enhanced user control: At the moment only billing admins can make changes. They have exclusive control over call recording retention and deletion. This enhances security, reduces the risk of errors, and centralizes accountability within your organization.
To access these settings (as an billing admin) you can go to Account > Calling settings > Call records retention duration

💬 Streamlined CNAM (Caller ID) Management
We're excited to announce a significant enhancement to our Caller ID Name (CNAM) management feature in Aloware, designed to make your experience smoother and more efficient.
What's New:
Simplified CNAM Deletion: Billing admins and admins now have the ability to directly delete approved CNAM bundles from the Line settings within the Aloware App. This ensures seamless removal of CNAM bundles from both Aloware and Twilio, streamlining the process even more!
Easy Re-registration of CNAM: After deleting a CNAM bundle, you can easily re-register a new CNAM for the line, right then and there.
Improved User Interface: To enhance clarity, we have updated the CNAM tab by removing the "Delete," "Pause," and "Save" buttons.
The best part? You now have greater autonomy in managing your CNAM settings, leading to a more personalized and efficient experience.
This update significantly minimizes the need for manual requests and interventions, allowing for quicker and more direct management of your CNAM bundles. Enjoy the new level of simplicity and control in managing your caller ID names within Aloware!
